A hotel bed runner is usually 45–60 cm wide and as long as the mattress width plus 20–30 cm overhang each side: about 200–220 cm for a queen bed and 240–260 cm for a king. Choose fabrics that survive the hotel's laundry, and match colour to a sealed sample.

Hotel bed runners: sizes, fabrics and care

A bed runner is the cheapest way to change how a room looks at a refurbishment, and the easiest to get wrong in the laundry. This guide covers sizing to the bed, the fabrics hotels use, and the care questions to settle before you order.

We're adding this line to our panel of partner mills. We quote it against your spec: MOQ, price and lead time come with the quote, after a sample. The figures on this page are typical industry specifications, not a promise of ours, and we confirm each one against a mill sample before you order.

Settle these before you order

  • Does your laundry wash runners, or send them out to dry clean? Choose fabric to match.
  • Interlining or a backing cloth helps a runner lie flat and stay put.
  • Match colour to a sealed sample kept by both sides, and order one dye lot per refurbishment.

OEKO-TEX is available only through a certified partner mill. We show you the certificate number and scope before you order. We make no other certificate claim for this line.
