Commercial Laundry FAQs
Questions answered.
What makes Anabyn linen suitable for commercial laundry use?+
Commercial laundry linen must survive hundreds of industrial wash cycles at 60–85°C, tunnel washer mechanical action, and high-temperature tumble drying. Anabyn builds to that standard: reinforced double-stitched hems, colourfast reactive dyeing designed to resist bleed well beyond a normal hospitality wash cycle, combed ring-spun cotton construction for durability, and pre-shrunk finishing. We can supply at 400–500 GSM for general rental linen and 500–550 GSM for premium-tier rental. All linen is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 - no harmful substances that could trigger allergy claims. (This is a design commitment, not a published lab wash-test result - ask us for current test data before specifying an exact cycle count.)
What order volumes do commercial laundries typically require?+
Commercial laundries and linen rental companies are among the highest-volume buyers of textile products. A mid-sized laundry servicing 50 hotels (5,000 rooms total) might require 50,000–100,000 bath towels and 150,000+ bed linen pieces in their operational stock, with annual replacement of 25–35%. This represents container volumes - full 40ft FCL shipments every 1–3 months. We work with commercial laundries on standing supply contracts with regular scheduled shipments and volume pricing.
Can you supply linen with commercial laundry tracking features (barcodes, RFID)?+
Yes. We can supply linen with woven barcode labels, QR-code labels, or RFID chip pockets integrated into the hem - standard requirements for linen-rental tracking systems. Barcodes and QR codes are printed on durable satin woven labels. RFID pocket integration (UHF passive tags) is available for orders of 10,000+ pieces. Specify your tracking requirement when requesting a quote - it adds 3–7 days to lead time and a small per-unit cost.
What is the pricing structure for container-volume linen orders?+
Container-volume orders (FCL - Full Container Load) are priced at 8–15% below MOQ (500-piece) rates. A 40ft container holds approximately 80,000–100,000 standard bath towels (500 GSM, 70×140cm). At container volumes, FOB Cochin pricing for 500 GSM towels is approximately $2.10–$2.50/piece. For annual supply contracts with regular FCL shipments, we offer further volume-tier pricing. Contact sales@anabyn.com with your annual volume requirement for a contract quote.
Do you offer white-label or unbranded linen for rental fleets?+
Yes. We can supply unbranded (white-label) linen - plain white or coloured without client logos - which is the standard for most commercial laundry rental fleets. Rental companies typically prefer unbranded linen because it allows them to rotate stock across multiple hotel accounts without client-specific branding. We can also supply linen with your laundry company's own brand label (OEM) for companies building a branded rental fleet.
How do wash temperature and chemistry affect linen life?
Heat, strong alkali and chlorine bleach remove soil but also wear cotton. Healthcare laundries use thermal disinfection as a reference: UK guidance HTM 01-04 gives 65°C for at least 10 minutes or 71°C for at least 3 minutes, and EN 14065 sets controls on laundered textiles. Hotel laundries are usually gentler.
Send your wash formula with your enquiry. We can then ask the specialist unit for yarn, dye and finish that suit it, and confirm per order.

Housekeeping Care Card
A one-page laundry card for towels, sheets or robes. Pin it up in the linen room. Distributors can put their own name or logo on it and give it to their hotels.
Do
- Wash new towels on their own two or three times before first use.
- Wash white towels hot, with the correct detergent dose and a full rinse.
- Wash dark towels separately for the first few cycles.
- Tumble dry on medium until just dry. Always dry fully before folding.
- Clean the dryer lint filter after every cycle.
Avoid
- Fabric softener. It coats the loops and cuts absorbency.
- Overloading the machine.
- Leaving damp towels in a bin or trolley.
- Cutting a pulled loop at its base. Snip it level with the surface instead.
Quick fixes
- Grey whites
- Check dose and temperature. Use an oxygen booster, not repeated chlorine.
- Stiff feel
- Soften the water, check dose, add a rinse, do not over-dry.
- Musty smell
- Wash hotter, dose correctly, dry fully and promptly.
